The colors and shapes of the American Southwest were the inspiration for this project.
We wanted to create a pattern to help guide beginner quilters step by step through a project. To this end, we designed a small project using simple, but essential shapes that could be completed in a relatively short period of time
The “Heliotrope” project is sold as a kit (in our online store) with written instructions (in French) and enough fabric to sew up the front of the project. We’ve chosen the Sevilla Shots fabric range by Stof Fabrics for its gorgeous colors as well as its delicious texture.
With beginners in mind, we’ve made videos (in French) which show in detail the slightly more technical steps of the project, available for free on YouTube!
However, the techniques demonstrated can also be applied to other quilting projects as we show you, for example, how to square a quilting block, do hand quilting and add pockets so that you can hang your project on a wall.
