“Pink Diamonds” Wall Hanging

I can finally reveal a “secret” project of 2022: my contribution to the book “Apprendre le patchwork en 10 leçons” by Marianne Stos (@patchwork_debutant) for Les Éditions de Saxe!

Before jumping to my project, I want to introduce the book a bit first.  All the projects (and the overall format) are resolutely fresh and modern in style.  The book has been designed for quilting beginners, but even a veteran quilter will find inspiration among its pages. Each project is designed to highlight a specific technique, in order to allow beginners to move forward step by step and develop skills as they go through the projects.

The book contains 10 projects, by 5 different designers, in addition to Marianne, including my project: the "Pink Diamonds" wall hanging. In addition, each project has a small video made by the designer which reveals more details about the project. Just flash the QR code associated with the project in the book to watch the video!

Plus, to get a better idea about all the projects in the book, you can leaf through it with us in this short video!

Finally, if all this makes you want to buy the book, just click on the button below!

N.B. The button leads to an affiliate link, so I will receive a portion of any sale.

The project was sewn with solid color fabrics from the “Cotton Couture” range by Michael Miller Fabrics (provided by Miss Kika Tissus), and which you can also find in our online store. They are OEKO-TEX certified cotton fabrics and are remarkable for their soft texture and lovely hand.

To top it all off, Marianne has just launched a Quilt-Along to accompany the book! You can get all the details on her website or Instagram account, and sign up for the QAL to receive the free pattern (up to a certain date).

I want to thank Marianne for including me in the book and for her encouragement throughout the project, as well as Les Éditions de Saxe, Miss Kika Tissus and PSR Quilt for their support and for providing the fabrics and the batting for the project!
