Solstice Sampler, Part Two

We’re still hard at work on the Solstice Sampler Sew-Along, and still a little bit behind!  We’ve finished four out of the nine total patchwork blocks.

Looking at the rest of the blocks to come, it seems like the designs use pretty small pieces!  If you cut out the fabric, but don’t sew it right away (like someone I know), it’s best to organize the pieces and label them well!

This is a close-up on the fourth block in the series, called Tiny Town, by Alderwood Studio.

We’ve chosen a dark gray for the background color, and we’re only using solid fabrics.  But all the gorgeous examples on Instagram that use prints have us dreaming about making another version with some sparkly fabrics!

You can follow the participants’ progress on Instagram with the hashtag #solsticesampler2021.
